In between coaching his first game last night and preparing for Pitt’s regular season opener on Tuesday, Jeff Capel will be hosting an important recruit this weekend.
2019 4-star center Qudus Wahab (6-10, 230) will be in town today to start his official visit to Pitt.
Wahab could be an important recruit for Capel and a big piece to his future blueprint. The Virginia native is exactly what Pitt needs–a skilled big man.
Wahab, who’s ranked as a Top 100 recruit and a Top 20 center, is someone that can score with his back to the basket, has a high motor, excellent at rebounding and is a rim protector.
During the July live period, the Pitt coaches attended everyone of his games and Capel has been to his school to visit multiple times.
Following this weekend to Pitt, Wahab’s last official visit will be next week to Syracuse. His final five schools are Pitt, Syracuse, UConn, Georgetown and Virginia Tech.
Most recruiting experts are forecasting Wahab to Georgetown.
