RMU Wins 3rd Straight, Defeat Stetson 81-72

Led by a balanced offensive attack, Andy Toole’s team defeated Stetson, 81-72, to win its third consecutive game.

Senior guard Josh Williams once again led the team in scoring with 18 while Matty McConnell added 12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.

Toole’s bench gave him great minutes as senior Malik Petteway scores 17 and sophomore Koby Thomas added 16 points, a game-high 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

“I thought it was a really good performance by us for a large portion of the game just in terms of sticking with what we need to do to win,” said Toole. “Guys really rallied together and we had really good energy. The ball was moving freely and guys were making plays.”

For the game, the Colonials shot a season-high 54.2% from the field.

Next up is a step up in competion as Robert Morris travels to West Lafayette, Indiana to take on Purdue. Friday’s tip-off is set for 2 PM.
