Carter becomes Pittโ€™s 20th player in their Class of 2019 and becomes their highest rated recruit. He’s the No. 25 running back and 446 player overall in the 2019 class according to 247 Sports. He’s rated as a four-star player by Rivals.com.

Carter chose Pitt after having been offered by schools such as Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia. His final decision came between Pitt and Kansas State.

This is the third consecutive year that the Pitt staff has been able to land a four-star running back, joining A.J. Davis and Mychale Salahuddin.

Due to the graduation of Darrin Hall and Qadree Ollison, Carter will have a legitimate chance to compete against Davis, Salahuddin and Todd Sibley for the starting job or at the very least serious playing time.

Credit Pittโ€™s ace Florida recruiter Charlie Partridge for being the lead recruiter on Carter. Partridge and Pat Narduzzi are expected to visit Carter on Monday after Pitt’s ACC Championship Game appearance in Charlotte.
