It’s the big day. Pitt vs. Clemson for the ACC Championship. Our Alan Saunders, Mitch Northam and David Hague are in Charlotte to capture all the action.

Something nice to take away from the game.
Darrin Hall’s 29-yard carry puts him over 1,000 yards on the season.
It is the first time #Pitt has had two 1,000-yard rushers

UPDATE (10:50 PM)-
End of 3 quarters, Pitt trails Clemson 28-10 with Clemson knocking on the door. Some stats so far: Kenny Pickett has 5 yards passing. His counterpart Trevor Lawrence is 12 for 23 for 119 yards. Pitt with only 160 yards of total offense and has committed seven penalties compared to Clemson’s three.
UPDATE (10:41 PM)-
67,784 found their way through Charlotte’s traffic to make it to the stadium tonight.

UPDATE (9:50 PM)-
Halftime and the Panthers could not have ended the 1st half any worse. Pitt getting outgained 235-122. Pickett is 3-12 for 5 yards and one interception. Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence is only 7/14 for 52 yards, but has two touchdowns and no turnovers. Travis Etienne had 143 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.

The Panthers got a commitment from 4-star running back Daniel Carter during the 1st quarter. Coincidence?
Look at the total yards gained and points scored for @Pitt_FB since 4-star RB Daniel Carter committed to Pitt. Coincidence?? I think not.

After a rough start. The Panthers are right back in it on the strength of their running game.

First quarter numbers: Clemson has 47 yards of offense outside of Etienne’s 75-yard game opening touchdown. Pitt had 63 yards of total offense, 67 on the ground (-4 through the air).

It’s raining in Charlotte for the start of the game, the temperature is 55 degrees and more rain is expected throughout the night.
