A new player has entered the picture in Pitt’s quest to add an offensive tackle.

Today, Tim Salem was at Christ The King High School in Middle Village, New York and extended an offer to 2019 offensive tackle Adam ElGammal in person.

It’s late in the process, and interesting to note that ElGammal (6-foot-7, 255 pounds) has already given a verbal commitment to Cincinnati.

“I’m thankful to receive the offer from Pittsburgh. It shows me that my work received notice from notable schools such as Pitt,” ElGammal told Pittsburgh Sports Now.

Within the last week, ElGammal picked up an offer from Miami and plans on making an official there this coming weekend.

Will he decide to give Pitt an official visit?

“I have not made plans for a visit to Pitt,” ElGammal said. “Coach Salem did ask for me to take a visit with my family.”

ElGammal says he’ll be sitting down with his parents and coaches to discuss this and whether he’ll make the trip. Right now, his plan is to sign during the December Signing Day.
