**Three-star Norwin safety/running back and one-time Pitt target Jayvon Thrift has de-committed from Youngstown State, he announced on his Twitter page.

Thrift, who checks in at 5-foot-10 and 187 pounds, committed to the Penguins in early October, picking Youngstown State over offers Buffalo, Indiana, Pitt, Syracuse, Temple, Toledo and West Virginia, though it’s not clear how many of those were committable at the time. West Virginia offered Thrift back in Feb. 2017. Pitt extended an offer a month later. Thrift’s Norwin teammate Giovanni Rizzo is also committed to Youngstown State.
