Update On Christian Mahogany, Liam Dick and Kaleb Boateng

With so much recruiting news today, wanted to give a quick update on three offensive prospects that have been associated with Pitt: Christian Mahogany, Liam Dick and Kaleb Boateng.

We’ll start with Boateng because it might be the biggest surprise of the day. The big lineman from Fort Lauderdale shocked a lot of people today when he announced that he was signing with Clemson. Apparently, both sides kept the fact that Clemson offered him a surprise. Most people expected Boateng to be choosing between Arizona, Florida Atlantic and Maryland. With him signing with Clemson, it makes you wonder why Pitt stop recruiting him.

New Jersey offensive tackle Christian Mahogany was planning on making his decision today but announced that he’s pushed his decision back and will sign instead in February. Rutgers appears to be the leader but it’ll be interesting to see if new teams get involved.

It appears as though when Dick makes his decision this afternoon, it’ll be Pitt. In fact, Pitt mistakenly tweeted out a picture from their recruiting board this morning, showing a picture of Dick’s name on their board of commitments. We’ll find out later if that proves to be accurate.

That will leave the Panthers just two offensive line signees, with commit Nick Malone in limbo after being told not to sign with Pitt in the early period.
