Pitt ends the season on a disappointing 3-game losing streak and finishes the year with a record of 7-7.
Although they outplayed Stanford for a large portion of the game, Pitt’s offense once again struggled putting up points. I think it’s safe to say the heat on offensive coordinator Shawn Watson’s hot-seat has risen.
Here’s the reaction we’re seeing on Twitter.

Was at the game. Offense was embarrassing. Picket tmissed open receivers when he had time, and the line cannot pass block. Way too predictable. Something has to be done next year. If this is what they will look like post Ollison, then it will be a very bad year.
They won’t be able to rely just on the run. If this team wants to consistently get to the 8,9, even 10 win mark, they have to have a balanced offense.
The fact remains but Narduzzi had the Number one offense in the HISTORY of Pitt Football his first two years but still barely won 8 games. That will go down as the high point fo the Narduzzi era. That offense gets worse each year. He will barely win 7 games next year. Terrible coach. Mike Gottfried 2.0
You’re right Tom, the direction of this offense definitely has plenty of question marks.
