Aside from Robert Morris, Russell held offers from Cal Poly, Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, Radford, Tennessee-Martin and Winthrop. Recently, Illinois and Louisiana Tech have been recruiting Russell.

This season, Russell is averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds for Miami Dade. Last season, Russell averaged 15.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and was named First Team All-Southern Conference, was the No. 1 ranked offensive rebounder in the FCSAA.

Pittsburgh Sports Now talked to a college talent evaluator who describes Russell as “super versatile, very productive, excellent rebounder, can rebound and push the break. Very good in lane, can drive it from perimeter, also good mid-range shooter.”

Russell will have two years of eligibility at Robert Morris, starting in the fall of 2019.
