PITTSBURGH — Pitt can play with anyone in the country.
That was the message delivered on Monday night at Petersen Events Center as Pitt pulled away late to knock off No. 11 Florida State, 75-62 for their first win over a ranked opponent in 13 tries.
The Panthers didn’t back down from Florida State’s giant forecourt, weren’t phased by a tough night shooting and drew energy from a raucous Oakland Zoo on the way to evening their ACC record at a level 2-2.
