The recruitment of Class of 2019 Aliquippa four-star cornerback MJ Devonshire took another turn today.
Pittsburgh Sports Now has learned of a new official visit for Devonshire as well as a visit that he’ll be receiving next week.
Last week, PSN reported that Devonshire planned on making an official visit this weekend to Ole Miss but we have now learned that’s not going to happen. Instead, he’ll spend the weekend in Lexington, Kentucky making an official visit to Kentucky. Earlier this week, Devonshire received an official offer from Mark Stoops’ program.
The other piece of information that we’ve learned is that West Virginia is trying to get Devonshire to make an official visit to Morgantown next weekend, the last weekend prior to the February National Signing Day. We’re also told that new West Virginia head coach Neal Brown will be in Aliquippa on Monday to spend the day with Devonshire.
At this time, it appears that the battle for Devonshire is between 3 teams: Pitt, West Virginia and Kentucky. Although they’ve had some contact with him over the last few weeks, Penn State isn’t in the picture at this time.
