17 WPIAL Players Make PSCFA East-West All-Star Roster

In addition to the Big 33 Football Classic roster, that featured 11 WPIAL players when it was released on Thursday, the 2019 PSFCA East-West All-Star Game rosters were announced, and there’s plenty of local representation in that game, as well.

Shaler offensive linemen Jeffrey Bonnette, North Hills wide receiver Tyler Brennan, Beaver Falls defensive back Dayln Brickner, South Fayette kicker/punter Ryan Coe, Central Catholic defensive back Dom Dodson, Pine-Richland offensive lineman Mike Dorundo, South Fayette offensive lineman Tom Elia, McKeesport defensive back Konota Gaskins, Canon-McMillian offensive lineman Riley Noble, Norwin linebacker Gianni Rizzo, Thomas Jefferson offensive lineman Dominic Serapiglia, Seneca Valley linebacker Jake Stebbins, Penn Hills defensive back Corey Thomas, Norwin defensive back Jayvon Thrift, South Fayette wide receiver Mike Trimbur, Aliquippa defensive back Larry Walker, Jr. and McKeesport linebacker Thomas Wyatt will represent the WPIAL in the game.

Additionally, Seneca Valley’s Ron Butschle and Penn Hills’ Jon DeLonne will serve as assistant coaches for the West team.

The East-West All-Star Game has been held annually since 2001 as a sister to the Big 33 game, which gives an additional 68 players the opportunity to play in a high school all-star game.

The 2019 East-West game will take place on Sunday, May 5 at Mansion Park in Altoona, Pa. Kickoff scheduled for 2 p.m.
