Update on Pitt’s In-Home Visit With MJ Devonshire

Published

on

Head coaches only get one in-home visit with a recruit and it’s when they make their last minute recruiting pitch in hopes of making a big impact on the player.

Last night, Pat Narduzzi and Rob Harley were at the home of Aliquippa’s MJ Devonshire for over two hours. The question now is was it enough to get a commit from him next Wednesday?

Pittsburgh Sports Now is told that part of the night focused on Pitt asking him in the end what’s important to him and the biggest factors when it comes time to make a decision. Narduzzi and Harley stressed the important of relationships and the job they’ve done with player development.

The coaching staff brought the big Pitt equipment truck with them as part of the presentation and parked it in front of the house.

I’m told that the coaching staff really showed to Devonshire and his family that MJ is very important to them and someone that they want to be a big part of the programs future.

So what’s next for Devonshire?

No more coaches will be visiting with him prior to National Signing Day but I’m told that coaches from West Virginia will be communicating with him over the weekend.

On Saturday following his basketball game, the Devonshire family will talk about the pluses of all the programs and then they’re going to leave it to him to make a final decision. No decision has been made yet and nothing will be announced before he announces it live on Pittsburgh Sports Now and Pittsburgh Sports Live.
