PITTSBURGH — In what’s become something of a trend lately, Pitt couldn’t overcome one poor half of basketball in a 65-56 loss to Syracuse on Saturday.
“I thought our defense in the second half was much better than it was in the first half,” head coach Jeff Capel said. “I thought in the first half, we had some good looks. We missed them — some wide-open threes that we didn’t make and I thought our offense hurt our defense a little bit. Again, I thought we played better in the second half.”
