A fourth player has been added to the list of recruits visiting Pitt today.

2020 4-star guard D.J. Gordon (First Love Academy, Washington, PA) tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he was invited and will attend Pitt’s game this afternoon against Virginia Tech.

Gordon (6’5″, 170) has already been to multiple Pitt games this season and is being actively recruited by assistant coach Jason Capel.

The talented guard is waiting for the offer from Pitt but does hold ones from Arizona State, Dayton, TCU, South Florida, Virginia Tech and Wichita State. Gordon is rated as one of the Top 150 juniors in the country.

”It feels like Pitt is making me a real priority on their priority by inviting me to all these games,” said Gordon. “I’m appreciative and excited by that.”

“I really like going to the games. I like the atmosphere at their games and the Pitt fans. I like everything about Pitt.”

Although he’s still waiting for the offer from Pitt, Gordon has been in constant contact with Jason Capel.

”Coach Jason and I are always talking about the team and the team building process. We also talk about what’s going on with me on and off the court,” said Gordon.

“The last couple of times I’ve went, they’ve bright me down to the locker room before and after the game to show me some of the cool things they do.”

Gordon’s high school season is over now so he’s in the gym prepaying for the upcoming AAU season. A couple areas that he still wants to work on are his ball handling and his shooting off the dribble.

As far as new teams getting involved, Gordon says he’s hearing from Arizona, Virginia, Auburn and Clemson.
