Pitt has scheduled a home-and-home series with Western Michigan for the 2021 and 2022 football seasons.
The Panthers and Broncos will meet up at Heinz Field on Sept. 18, 2021 and Pitt will make a return trip to Kalamazoo, Michigan on Sept. 17, 2022, as reported by FBSchedules.com.
In 2021, Pitt will now host Clemson, Miami, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Virginia and Western Michigan and visit Duke, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Tennessee and Virginia Tech, with one game left to be scheduled.
In 2022, Pitt will host Duke, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and West Virginia and visit Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, Virginia and Western Michigan, again with one game yet to be scheduled.
Pitt has not played a member of the Mid-American Conference since 2015, when they beat Akron, 24-7 at InfoCision Stadium, but has now scheduled a member of the conference in each of the next four season. Pitt will host Ohio in 2019 and the Miami RedHawks in 2020.
Pitt and Western Michigan have never played one another in football. Pitt has not played in Michigan since the 2013 Little Caesar’s Pizza Bowl. The Panthers haven’t played a regular-season game in Michigan since a 17-13 loss to Michigan State in 2007,
