Postgame Reaction From Pitt’s Win Against Notre Dame

Published

on

Pittsburgh — Pitt’s 13-game losing streak is finally over, as the Panthers defeated Notre Dame by a score of 56-53 on Saturday.

Coming into the game both the Panthers and the Irish had been struggling on offense and that is reflected in the standings as both teams enter in the last two spots of the ACC standings.

Pitt senior Jared Wilson-Frame played well in his last game at the Petersen Events Center, while Trey McGowens had his best game since Pitt’s last win against Florida State. McGowens had a monsterous dunk over Notre Dame’s star forward John Mooney, which ignited the Pete and seemed to boost McGowens’ confidence throughout the game.

Here’s more from Capel, Pitt players, McGowens, Wilson-Frame, and Kene Chukwuka and Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey from Petersen Events Center.
