Despite officially getting in late, Pitt’s staff made a positive impression with one of the best shooters in the country.
Shooting guard Sean McNeil from Sinclair Community College tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that Pitt has made his list of finalists. I have not been able to confirm the other teams on this list.
McNeil does hold offers from Arkansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Providence, TCU, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Dayton and Oregon.
The next step for McNeil is to start taking official visits to these schools. He didn’t give any indication as to work and the order in which these trips will take place.
McNeil (6’4”, 190) averaged 29.7 points and four 3-pointers per game and for the season shot 43% from behind the arc.
A well-known national analyst described McNeil to PSN as “an ELITE, ELITE, shooter.” Considering the graduation of Jared Wilson-Frame, Pitt’s lone 3-point threat last season, McNeil would fill a huge hole for Capel.
McNeil has been recruited by both Milan Brown and Jeff Capel and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Thanks for the update H2P
