For the second consecutive day, Pitt hosted a recruit from Florida for an unofficial visit.

Yesterday it was 2020 3-star linebacker Ty Berrong and today it’s 3-star defensive end Riyad Wilmot.

Wilmot is from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Along with Pitt, Wilmot (6’3”, 250) holds offers from Boston College, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Purdue, Syracuse, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.

Prior to his flight to Pittsburgh last night, PSN got some quick thoughts from Wilmot about Pitt.

“After Pitt gave me an offer in January, a couple of my teammates and I were talking about Pitt so I wanted to come up and make a visit and see it for myself,” said Wilmot.

“Coach Partridge is recruiting me and I feel like we’re forming a very great relationship. He tells me that Pitt is the place to be. I’m interested in seeing how the school is academically and how the practices are and get to know the coaches better.”

Wilmot tells me that aside from Pitt, the schools recruiting him hardest right now are Kentucky, Syracuse, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.

We plan on talking to Wilmot at the end of his day to get his first impressions of Pitt.
