Air Narduzzi? Pitt Coach Talks New Offense, LB Battle

PITTSBURGH — Maybe they’ll call it “Air Narduzzi?”

Pitt’s ramped-up passing game, currently being installed by new offensive coordinator Mark Whipple, has many talking in the Pitt linebackers.

The wide receivers and tight ends are salivating about more touches, the offensive line is seeing an increased focus on pass protection and Narduzzi is — well, he’s going along with it, even if he’s not so sure he wants his name attached to it.

“Don’t believe it’s an Air Narduzzi offense,” he said with a smile. “We’re going to run the ball. Don’t forget that. They think when you complete a couple passes, it’s Air Narduzzi. I guess they’re not used to catching many passes.”
