The Florida to Pitt pipeline produces Pitt’s first commitment for their Class of 2020.
While on an unofficial visit, Florida defensive end Sam Williams announced on Twitter that he would be a future Pitt Panther.

Williams (6’4”, 210) is a 3-star defensive end from Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Williams chief recruiter was Charlie Partridge.
Despite having groups of players visiting the last couple of weeks from Michigan, Georgia and Virginia, Florida produces Pitt’s first commitment. Last year, Pitt signed six players from Florida including their first 2019 commitment, linebacker Leslie Smith.
The other thing to start keeping track of is which positions are Pitt getting commitments from. Williams is strictly a pass-rushing defensive end so now it becomes a matter of how many players they take at each position.
