All week, the Pitt football staff has been hosting recruits from the state of New York.

“The visit was exactly what I expected, it was really a great day,” Abanikanda told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “My parents loved it, I loved it. It was nice to see their facilities and they really showed me all around Pittsburgh. It was a great day, they showed my family a lot of love.”

“A couple of things that really stood out to me were their facilities. The fields were so nice and they share those with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The second thing was the academics that Pitt offers and the Cathedral was so impressive.”

The visit ended with a conversation with Pat Narduzzi who expressed to Abanikanda where he stood in the eyes of the Pitt staff.

“Coach Narduzzi told me how bad he wanted me and how high I am on their recruiting list. Him saying that made me feel special,” said Abanikanda.

Abanikanda says that he plans on making his college decision sometime before the start of his high school season.

“Pitt is definitely one of my top schools.”
