Pitt WR Rafael Araujo-Lopes Joins Miami Dolphins

Pitt wide receiver Rafael Araujo-Lopes will join the Miami Dolphins for mini-camp on a tryout basis, making nine former Panthers that will be taking part in NFL practices this month.

Running back Qadree Ollison was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round, making six consecutive seasons the Panthers have had a player drafted.

Fullback George Aston (Denver Broncos), linebacker James Folston (Arizona Cardinals), running back Darrin Hall (Cleveland Browns), defensive end Dewayne Hendrix (Miami Dolphins), offensive lineman Mike Herndon (New Orleans Saints) and linebacker Elijah Zeise (San Diego Chargers) all signed as undrafted free agents.

Offensive lineman Alex Bookser (Detroit Lions) will also be attending mini-camp on a tryout, as will Duquesne wide receiver Nehari Crawford (New York Giants) and lineman Matt Fitzpatrick (Seattle Seahawks).

Around the WPIAL, former Woodland Hills and Penn State running back Miles Sanders went in the second round to the Philadelphia Eagles, Thomas Jefferson and Michigan defensive end Chase Winovich was selected in the third round by the New England Patriots. Two local players signed as UDFAs: Aliquippa and West Virginia safety Dravon Askew-Henry singed aswith the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kiski Arena and Buffalo Bulls kicker Adam Mitcheson signed with the Falcons.

Former Temple and Gateway safety Delvon Randall was signed by the Eagles, but was subsequently released and is currently going through waivers.
