2020 Ohio Athlete Bangally Kamara to Make Official Visit to Pitt

Bangally Kamara is someone that the Pitt staff has been pursuing for over a year and that relationship is paying off.

The 3-star linebacker/safety from Akron, Ohio has announced a top seven that includes Pitt.

Kamara has revealed that his finalists (in no order) are: Pitt, Michigan, Nebraska, Michigan State, Penn State, Purdue and Cincinnati.

Pitt got another piece of positive news concerning Kamara as he tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he will make an official visit the weekend of June 14-16.

We caught up with Kamara and asked why Pitt made his group of finalists and his reason for giving them one of his five official visits.

“A big thing is the relationship that I’ve developed with the coaching staff,” said Kamara. “It’s one that I believe is very strong and we talk about anything and everything. Coach Collins, Coach Harley and Coach Narduzzi, we talk just about every week. Because of this relationship, they’ve made me feel comfortable and I want to check them out more.”

Kamara says that Pitt is recruiting him to play the field linebacker position.

Aside from Pitt, the only other official visit that Kamara is sure he’ll be making is to Michigan. He also tells me that while he might have a couple of schools he has in the back if his mind, every school he’s listed has a chance and he’s doing his best to find out more information on them.

Since he’s already made three visits to Pitt, what’s something that Kamara is going to be looking at during his official visit.

”I’m going to be looking into the relationship that the players have with the coaches,” said Kamara.

Kamara plans on making his college decision sometime prior to the start of his season.
