Pitt has landed as a finalist for another top junior recruit.
Monday afternoon, 2020 3-star linebacker Devin Hightower (Akron, Ohio) released his Final Five and it included Pat Narduzzi’s Pitt Panthers.
In no order, Hightower listed Pitt, Michigan State, Michigan, Iowa and Cincinnati. Prior to making this list public, Hightower talked to Pittsburgh Sports Now about each school and why they’re a finalist for his services.
First of all, I want to thank the man above for blessing with all of these amazing opportunities. Also my family and and all the coaches who have recruited me these past couple years. It has definitely a tough decision, but I want to proudly announce my final 5 (Recruitment Open) pic.twitter.com/2fFtLAGXsR

Michigan: “The first Power 5 school who offered me so always they’re going to be a special place to me, great coaches and a family vibe.”
Michigan State: “Michigan state was actually the first college who I ever talked to. One of my teammates, Michael Dowell, and his two twin brothers went there so I’m pretty familiar with the organization. All three have said great things about the school.”
Iowa: “I’ve talked to a lot of their coaches and all of them show me a lot of love and can’t wait to get up there.”
Cincinnati: “They’re close to home and I went to a game last year and loved the campus and had a blast at the game.”
Pitt: “Pitt by far have shown me the most love. They keep contact with not only me but also my mom and dad which is great. When I visited there, I loved the campus and great downtown vibe. I have a good relationship with some coaches and had a great conversation with Head Coach Narduzzi.”
What’s next for this play-making linebacker?
He tells PSN that the only two official visits that have been set up are: Pitt (June 14-16) Michigan State (June 21-23).
