Pat Narduzzi and Pitt Recruiting Dayon Hayes ‘Hardest’

Pat Narduzzi threw out what seemed to be a completely out of the blue tweet Friday night but it turns out it was anything but.

Narduzzi tweeting about Wendy’s french fries?

As you can probably guess, this had nothing to do with fast food and everything to do with recruiting.

It just so happens that Pitt’s top 2020 target works at a Pittsburgh area Wendy’s.

Westinghouse star defensive end Dayon Hayes got a call from Pat Narduzzi yesterday as he was on his way to work, thus the reference from Narduzzi about the fast food chain.

“We talked until I clocked in at work,” Hayes told Pittsburgh Sports Now.

We asked Hayes for his reaction to Narduzzi’s latest recruiting move to try and keep him home and play for Pitt.

”My reaction was that’s hilarious that coach did that,” said Hayes. “When I saw it, I just busted out laughing because it was funny and unexpected, They (Pitt) are recruiting me the hardest definitely.”

Hayes is a player Pitt covets and would arguably be Narduzzi’s biggest get since coming to Pitt.

Paris Ford #51 player in his class.
Hayes is a 3 star at a city school.
Nice offers. High ceiling, but arguably best Narduzzi get yet, that is a stretch.

Yep I agree, I think this RB from Georgia he signed late, is going to zoom past all the others. So if that happens he will be the biggest get….by far.

The Big O (Original) obviously has the best fries in da Burgh. What these coaches won’t stoop to, to land a player. He needs work on his ‘close’ for sure.
