Pitt has added a big name to its already impressive list of official visitors for next weekend.

Class of 2020 Miami running back Henry Parrish Jr. tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that his first official visit will be to Pitt during the weekend of June 14-16.

Considering his impressive offer list, this is a win for Pat Narduzzi and Pitt. Parrish holds offers from Florida State, Iowa, Miami, Michigan, Penn State, Syracuse, Tennessee, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

Pitt has landed a commitment from an elite running back in three consecutive recruiting classes (Daniel Carter, Mychale Salahuddin, AJ Davis), they’ll have a chance to make it for with Parrish.

Pitt’s well-earned nickname of “Running Back U” isn’t something that’s just talked about in Western Pennsylvania. It’s actually a big reason why Parrish has decided to come visit Pitt.

“The offense that they run and the formations that they use for their running backs was big for me,” Parrish told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “I feel like I could do well running in that.”

Parrish said that his chief recruiter has been Charlie Partridge and that he knows quite a few current Panthers who are from Florida but doesn’t actively communicate with them.

“He’s showed me a lot of pictures of Pittsburgh and I feel in love with it, so I really want to come up and see it for myself.”

Parrish is 5-foot-10, 175 pounds and gave Pitt fans an NFL comparison for his game.

“I look like and pattern myself after Ezekiel Elliott,” said Parrish. “I can do all kind of things with the ball, can both run and catch the ball. I can be a back that makes you miss but also use my power but mainly, I’m going to make you miss.”

Although he has a lot of offers, the only official visit that for certain is Pitt. Aside from that, Parrish says that he’s considering making ones to Utah, Florida State and Penn State.
