A big local talent has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Former Imani Christian and current West Virginia star safety Kenny Robinson is weighing the option of playing elsewhere for his final two seasons. Entering the transfer portal doesn’t mean he’s guaranteed to leave West Virginia, it just allows him to speak with other programs.
Considering the breakout season Robinson had last year, this news comes as somewhat of a surprise.
Robinson (6’2”, 200) was named All-Big 12 First Team in 2018 and racked up 77 tackles and 4 interceptions. He started 20 games in his two years in Morgantown.
If he decides to transfer, Robinson would have two seasons of athletic eligibility remaining but would have to sit out the upcoming 2019 season.
