Big-Time Florida RB Henry Parrish Loved Pitt Visit

The purpose of an official visit is for the host school to impress a potential recruit and to give them the temptation  of making a commitment.

Pitt accomplished that with highly skilled Florida running back Henry Parrish.

Parrish traveled to Pittsburgh with his parents from Miami for his first official visit. While he was in the Pittsburgh International Airport ready to fly back to Florida, Pittsburgh Sports Now caught up with Parrish who tells us he was floored by his first visit to Pittsburgh.

“The academic center was just great,” said Parrish. “I loved the Cathedral of Learning. Academics is the main key for me. We went into the building and saw all the classrooms which were amazing. I really liked that and it was my favorite part of the trip.”

”My next favorite thing was Pitt’s locker room. I never saw anything like that, it was amazing. Then, the mountains and the city of Pittsburgh was just beautiful. This whole visit was more than I ever expected, I didn’t know it was going to be like that. The city and the campus was just so pretty.”

Another aspect of the visit that impressed Parrish was the instant bond that he developed with the current Panthers.

”I felt the more I was there that the bond just got stronger. The last two days there was just a feeling that I can’t really explain. I wanted to feel like home and I felt that at Pitt,” said Parrish.

”My parents loved the visit and Pittsburgh and said the same and felt the same thing as me.”

Along with Pitt, Parrish holds offers from Florida State, Iowa, Michigan, Miami (Fla), Penn State, Syracuse, Tennessee and West Virginia.

What’s next for Parrish and did he consider committing to Pitt?

”I have an official visit scheduled to Florida State next. I did think about committing to Pitt before I left but I think I needed to go home first and think, we’ll see.”
