Pat Narduzzi has landed his biggest commitment of the 2020 recruiting class so far.

4-star safety Jahvante Royal from St. Thomas Aquinas High School (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) was one of the commitments Pitt received today.

Royal (6’3”, 180) is a 2020 Top 230 recruit and rated as one of the top 15 junior safeties in the nation. Prior to committing to Pitt, Royal held offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State, Syracuse and Central Florida.

At this moment, Royal is the third defensive back in Pitt’s Class of 2020 and their first safety. Pitt’s Florida recruiting ace Charlie Partridge was Royal’s chief recruiter.

Considering his profile — and his list of offers — Royal is one of the biggest commitments of the Narduzzi era.
