Robert Morris to Visit Notre Dame in 2019

Robert Morris will visit Notre Dame as part of its 2019-20 non-conference schedule, the Irish announced on Wednesday.

The Colonials will participate in the Men Against Breast Cancer Invitational at Notre Dame’s Purcell Pavilion.

As part of the tournament, Notre Dame will host Robert Morris on Saturday, Nov. 9, Howard on Tuesday, Nov. 12, Marshall on Friday, Nov. 15 and Toledo on Thursday, Nov. 21.

It’s unclear how many other games RMU will play the tournament and where they will be held.

Robert Morris has never faced Notre Dame. The Irish finish tied for 14t in the ACC in 2018-19 with a 3-15 conference record and finished 14-19, missing the postseason for the first time since 2014 and for just the second time under 20th-year head coach Mike Brey.

The Colonials finished 18-17 and 11-7, tied for third place in the Northeast Conference. They lost to Presbyterian in the second round of the CIT.

The game will be a homecoming of sorts for Robert Morris sophomore Cameron Wilbon, who went to high school in nearby Merrillville, Indiana.
