Two 2020 Recruits List Pitt Basketball As Finalists

Within the last 24 hours, two 2020 basketball recruits have listed Pitt as one of their finalists.

2020 4-star point guard Posh Alexander lists the Panthers as one of his final five while 2020 3-star forward Myles Stute list them as one of his final seven.

This evening, Alexander (Brooklyn, New York) tweeted that his finalists are (in no order): Pitt, St. John’s, Seton Hall, Dayton and Illinois. 247 Sports rates Alexander as one of the Top 100 juniors in the country and the 5th best junior in New York.

Alexander was actually one of the first 2020 recruits that Capel offered last year and his coaches have kept in close contact with Pitt assistant coach Tim O’Toole. Despite Pitt being a finalist, it’s believed that Alexander will select either St. John’s or Seton Hall.

Stute (6’7″, 220) is a talented 3-star forward from Gonzaga High School in Washington D.C. Sunday night, Stute named a final seven of Pitt, Clemson, Florida, Marquette, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.

When mentioning why Pitt made his cut, Stute told Corey Evans of Rivals.com that “Coach Capel is a good dude and I love what he’s done with the program since he has been there. They’re building something special at Pitt and I would love to be a part of it.”
