All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2019 training camp roster.

4 • Daniel Carter, freshman running back

Last year: A consensus three-star prospect out of legendary Ft. Lauderdale, Florida powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas, Carter chose Pitt over offers from the likes of Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee and Texas.

Stats: Rushed for 1,206 yards and 21 touchdowns while leading STA to the Florida Class-7A state title game.

Accolades, Highlights:

Was named first-team All-Broward County by the Sun Sentinel. The consensus No. 40 running back prospect in the country and No. 76 player to come out of the state of Florida.

Camp outlook: The focus at the running back position will be on the three returners, but Carter has a chance to make some noise.

Projected role: Should be in line for a four-game redshirt year.
