Camp outlook: With the graduation of Dennis Briggs, there’s an open spot at strong safety on Pitt’s death chart. Stocker and talented youngster Paris Ford could be one of Pitt’s toughest training camp battles.
Projected role: Ford is listed ahead on the first depth chart, but Stocker is going to play and play a lot as a fifth-year senior that has earned the trust of the coaching staff. He also has the versatility to play both safety spots and could be Pitt’s extra safety in Delta packages.
