Prior to leaving for their tour of Italy, the Pitt basketball program hosted a number of top prospects over a five day span.
One of those players was 2020 4-star forward Jalen Bridges, who made an unofficial visit last Saturday.
This afternoon, Pittsburgh Sports Now caught up with Bridges to find out about his visit along with getting an update on his overall recruitment.

First up, since he’s previously visited Pitt, did anything stand our about this visit?
“They’re re-doing a lot of stuff,” said Bridges. “They’re doing a lot of construction, re-painting the courts and they’re really trying to change the overall program and make it different. That really stood out to me.”
As we’ve reported on numerous occasions, Bridges is a big priority for Pitt. How aware of this is Bridges and is Jeff Capel ramping up the intensity of which he’s recruiting him?

”I can tell how much he wants me and they’re coming after me hard. When the head coach and the assistant coach are both texting you every other day. They’re asking me if I’ve made up my mind yet and if I want to come to Pitt yet? They’re sending me a lot of information on the school and the basketball program.”
”I’m just told (Pitt) them that I’m not ready to make a decision yet,” said Bridges. “I’m just taking my time with it and want to make a good choice and see how everything plays out.”
Bridges tells me that the only other programs recruiting him as hard as Pitt is right now are Miami and Xavier.
Whats next for Bridges? Any upcoming visits planned?
”I have three official visits planned and I’m going to be releasing my top five soon. I have two open spots and I’m not sure about them yet. I have official visits set to Xavier, Miami and one to Alabama.”
Bridges says that Pitt is “most likely” in the mix for him but he’s not sure yet and is trying to make up his mind.
I see all these recruits who play the same positions. Pitt needs Bigs and Stretch 4’s
Recruitment is a wonderful field. I really love to read Information. This blog was presented in a very excellent and Insightful manner. Please keep sharing.
