Pitt All 105: CB Dane Jackson

All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2019 training camp roster.

11 • Dane Jackson, redshirt senior cornerback

Last year: Played and started in Pitt’s final 13 games as a redshirt junior. He’s started 25 of Pitt’s last 26 games dating back to 2017.

Stats: Finished 2018 with 47 tackles, four for a loss, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 14 pass breakups.

Accolades, Highlights:

Honorable mention All-ACC. Scored a huge touchdown early in Pitt’s win over Syracuse.

Camp outlook: As a redshirt senior, Jackson will be the elder statesman and should have a leadership role in a very deep, very experienced Pitt secondary.

Projected role: Jackson will start as long as he’s healthy, and he has been. He’s missed just two games over three seasons.
