Plenty of Pitt Targets in Latest ESPN Top 100 Players in Class of 2020



Since taking over the Pitt basketball program, Jeff Capel has gone big name hunting when it comes to recruiting talent to Pitt and while he’s still waiting to land that marquee recruit, he’s gotten Pitt in position to do so.

Over the next few weeks, Pitt will be hosting a number of high level 2020 recruits on either official or unofficial visits including R.J. Davis, Earl Timberlake and Cliff Omoruyi.

A number of players that Pitt is currently recruiting have been included in ESPN’s just released list of Top 100 Recruits in the Class of 2020.

#39 R.J. Davis: 4-Star Point Guard (6’1″, 170), White Plains, New York (Archbishop Stepinac H.S.)

#46 Cliff Omoruyi: 4-Star Center (6’10”, 235), Montclair, New Jersey (Roselle Catholic High School)

#53 Andrew Curbelo: 4-Star Point Guard (6’0″, 155), Brookville, New York (Long Island Lutheran H.S.)

#61 Donovan Johnson: 4-Star Small Forward (6’7″, 185), Moon, Pennsylvania (Hillcrest Prep, Arizona)

#65 Ethan Morton: 4-Star Point Guard (6’4″, 215), Butler, Pennsylvania (Butler High School)

#72 Jalen Bridges: 4-Star Small Forward (6’7″), Scotland, Pennsylvania (Scotland Campus Prep)

#73 Zeb Jackson: 4-Star Shooting Guard (6’3″, 170), Toledo, Ohio (Montverde Academy)

Why is Ethan Morton listed? He committed to Purdue over a month ago.

Morton committed to Purdue months ago. Why is he on a list of recruits that are Pitt targets? Is he having second thoughts?
