ACC Network Reaches Carriage Agreement with Dish Network

ACC Network Reaches Carriage Agreement with Dish Network

It took until the very last minute, but the ACC Network ended negotiations with a major national carrier just moments before kickoff of Thursday’s ACC opener between Clemson and Georgia Tech.

Dish Network, the second-largest satellite provider in the country, signed an agreement to carry ACC Network just before kickoff between the defending national champion Tigers and the Yellow Jackets.

Dish is the fourth-largest television provider in the country and has over 12 million subscribers. The ACC and ESPN have now secured agreements with four of the five largest television providers in the country.

The big holdout remains Comcast, the largest cable provider and second-largest cable provider overall, which has not made any agreement. No. 6 Cox Communications and locally important Armstrong Cable have also not reached agreements.

The ACC Network can be found on Channel 402 for Dish customers that have the America’s Top 120 package or above, the regional action pack or the multi-sport pack.

Dish’s over-the-top streaming service, Sling, will also carry the network.

Pitt’s season opener on Saturday night against Virginia will be broadcast on ACC Network. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30.
