Pat Narduzzi Postgame Following Virginia Game

Published

on

A very quiet and short press availability following Pitt’s 30-14 opening night loss to Virginia.

Head coach Pat Narduzzi was emotional in saying the results tonight were unacceptable and a lot of people need to get better.

Very happy to see this appropriate reaction from coach. The offensive performance was a laughable crapfest. Better get better like immediately or it’s going to be a long and disappointing season. The coach should make the offense run suicide drills out in the parking lot of Heinz Field after tonight’s debacle.

He’s a terrible coach. He had the best Offense in Pitt History and still lost 6 games his rookie year because he failed to make adjustments. Virginia stinks. Pitt made him look like a good player. 2nd half—No improvements or adjustments.

This is year five. Its just terrible. 1st game, decent crowd, and they lay an egg. They look lost. Confused, tentative. And Narduzzi’s stupid “play the grad transfers” strategy for the 5th straight year continues. Those kids stunk. Gragg, Johnson, Uluzio—none of them did anything. Its ridiculous to do the same things over and over and expect a different outcome. And PN has never won a bowl game. He’s a terrible coach.

The grad transfer thing bothers me too… I think Pine had flashed enough ability to start and the shuffling of that position is mind boggling. I definitely see 3-9 coming and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see more names in the transfer portal.

The one thing I certainly don’t understand from Coach Narduzzi is this we have a lot of faith in Kenny crap. Why do you have a lot of faith in Kenny? Pickett has done nothing to inspire or deserve that faith. I have faith that Kenny can’t hit the side of a barn 99.9% of the time. Give Davis a shot and see what he can do for you. It has to be better than what Pickett offers which is incompletions, turnovers and losses. With all due respect Coach Narduzzi stop being so shortsighted and bullheaded and give the young… Read more »
