Email me a few sentences with an opinion on the game. It can be in general about the whole team, can be about a coach or player or a combination of both. I only want a few sentences and because we’re trying to hear from as many people as possible.

Please email your Pitt game thoughts to mvukovcan@gmail.com. We’ll run the story this afternoon so get your thoughts in now.

Too many mistakes, overthrowing wide open receivers, dropped balls, blocked punt and missed FG.

All correctable but I’m concerned about Pickett and his development as a QB or lack of.

It seemed to me they were committed to establishing the passing game first and run second.

Defense looks more developed but they were put into too many bad situations with turnovers by offense and special teams.

The team is pretty much a disaster. I’ve been following Pitt football for over 50 years and seems every year is a struggle. Lack of talent, lack of coaching, lack of execution year after year. I know it’s only one game but the future is kinda bleak..

KP isn’t the answer at QB. The two interceptions were bad and put the defense in really tough situations. He didn’t look comfortable in the pocket and he stepped into two sacks that I saw. The line wasn’t much better because he was pressured and there wasn’t much happening in the running game either. On the bright side, at least the TE (Gragg) got a receptions, so he is aware that they’re on the field. Though this is the first game with Whipple, Pitt has gotten pretty much the same output through the last two offensive coordinators. Maybe the man… Read more »

Picket was consistently inaccurate. The question is Why???.They have a relatively weak opponent coming up. Pickett needs to get straightened out quickly. Overall I thought Pitt played with intensity and enthusiasm If Picket had not missed on so many passes Pitt would have won this game. It is too early to determine what this team can do. I like the play of the defensive backs for the first time in many years.I would move Paris Ford around like the Steelers let Troy P free Lanced. The kid is an awesome talent. I love his passion. Pickett plays better then Pitt… Read more »

The Pitt defense is a solid defense. The bottom line is that Kenny Pickett is an inaccurate passer that makes poor and costly decisions that cost his team dearly. Virginia is a solid football team but they’re not nearly as electrifying as advertised. This game was very winnable for Pitt minus the dismal offensive performance.
