Pitt to play No. 17 UCF on National TV

Published

on

Pitt will host No. 17 UCF next Saturday for a nationally televised afternoon game at Heinz Field.

Kickoff between the Panthers and Knights will be at 3:30 p.m., the ACC announced on Monday. The game will be broadcast on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.

Each of the first four of Pitt’s games this season will be broadcast nationally. The team’s first two games were carried by the ACC Network. This Saturday’s game at Penn State will be on ABC.

Pitt will be facing UCF for the second consecutive season. The Panthers lost, 45-14 to a then-No. 13-ranked UCF team at Spectrum Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Sept. 29, 2018.

UCF has never played in Pittsburgh. The only other game between the teams was a 52-7 Pitt loss in Orlando on Oct. 13, 2006.

The Knights are 2-0 with victories over Florida A&M and Florida Atlantic. They host Stanford this Saturday. Pitt is 1-1 (0-1 in ACC play) with a loss to Virginia and a win over Ohio.

I know I’m alone in this, but I really want this W more than the PSU game. UCF fans are obnoxious AF down here.

It was a 52-7 loss in orlando last year. Not a victory unfortunately.

We aren’t obnoxious, just tired of being discriminated against by power five teams. Reality.
