2020 4-Star Guard R.J. Davis Starts Pitt Official Visit

A huge recruiting weekend for Jeff Capel and Pitt as they host their top target.

2020 4-star point guard R.J. Davis, from Stepinac High School in New York, will begin his Pitt official visit today and that’s important because his recruitment is winding down.

Davis will visit Pitt this weekend and will follow that up with his official to Marquette next weekend. He’ll conclude his fourth official in mid-October when he travels to North Carolina.

As we’ve been reporting, Jeff Capel has made a big impact on Davis and is a big reason why the Panthers are so high on his list. The relationship that Capel has been able to develop with Davis and his family has been important.

It’s interesting that prior to the official visit, Capel was in New York this morning as a guest speaker at a coaching clinic at Stepinac High School.

Davis is expected to make his college decision in early November.
