The Robert Morris/Pitt basketball game just got a bit bigger as it’s become a nationally televised game.
Robert Morris announced that the first game in their new basketball home on November 12, the UPMC Events Center, will be televised on ESPNU. Tipoff is set for 6 PM.
This is one of three games for Andy Toole’s team that will be televised: RMU at Notre Dame on ACC Network and RMU at Marquette on FS2.
Season tickets for RMU’s first season at Peoples Court at the UPMC Events Center are on sale now through Ticketmaster. Also, starting on October 3, a 3-game non-conference mini plan will be available that would guarantee you a ticket for the Pitt/Robert Morris game.
Robert Morris returns four starters and seven letterwinners from last year’s team. Toole is entering his tenth season with the Colonials where he’s earned an overall record of 168-140 (.545), including 102-58 (.638) in the Northeast Conference.
Looks like a few of their top scorers are gone at least.
