Duquesne 2019 roster is loaded with talent at the guard position with Sincere Carry, Maceo Austin, Tavian Dunn-Martin, Lamar Norman and others but Keith Dambrot is looking to strength that position for the future.
Pittsburgh Sports Now has learned that 2020 3-star combo guard Tyson Acuff (6’2”, 175) from Cass Tech in Detroit, Michigan is on an official visit to Duquesne this weekend.
Acuff (6’2”, 185) is one of a handful of players from Michigan that the Dukes staff has visited over the last few weeks.
Endless Sports Motor, a college basketball publication that covers Acuff gives this description of him to PSN- “Good positional size for a point guard at 6’3-6’4, excels in ballscreen action as a playmaker, displayed a much improved jumpshot this summer. Solid athlete with a good ceiling as a two-way player.”
Acuff currently holds offers from Duquesne, UMass, Toledo, Cleveland State, Siena, Oakland, Central Michigan and Buffalo.
