PITTSBURGH — Pitt quarterback Nick Patti made his first career start, Todd Sibley got his largest action to date and was Pitt’s first 100-yard rusher of the season, Taysir Mack made two crucial plays in the fourth quarter and Dane Jackson was part of a Pitt defense that kept the team in it while the offense dealt with the absences of Kenny Pickett, A.J. Davis and Vincent Davis to beat Delaware, 17-14 on Saturday.
