Roy Williams landed his second 5-star point guard for his Class of 2020 last when Caleb Love made a commitment last night to North Carolina. Love, rated as the one of the Top 25 overall seniors, joins Cole Anthony, who committed to the Tar Heels earlier this summer.
The question being asked is will this commitment impact the future of 2020 4-star point guard R.J. Davis, who has North Carolina listed on his final four teams.
Pittsburgh Sports Now spoke to a source close to the situation and asked them if Davis will follow through on his scheduled official visit to North Carolina?
“R.J. will still visit UNC next weekend as of right now,” said a source.
Davis has already made official visits to Pitt, Marquette, Georgetown and is planning to finish things up by going to Chapel Hill. As of Wednesday morning that is still the plan but we’ll see if things change.
I’m also told by this source that Davis is still looking at early signing period decision, meaning he intends on officially signing in November.
