2020 CB Hunter Sellers Part of Georgia Trio Coming To Pitt

The Pitt football program has made recruiting the state of Georgia a priority and this year they were rewarded with three commitments.

Back in June, three-star recruits Tee Denson, Jaylon Barden and Hunter Sellers all made commits to Pitt while on their official visits. Sellers and Denson are defensive backs and are currently the only cornerbacks in this year’s recruiting class.

Sellers (6-foot, 180 pounds) is from Woodward Academy in Atlanta and had an impressive offer list from Boston College, Duke, Indiana, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, Purdue, UCF and Wisconsin prior to committing to the Panthers.

Defensive backs coach Archie Collins was the leader recruiter on all three of these Georgia players and was in Georgia on Tuesday to see Sellers.

”Coach Collins came by for my practice and we talked for a while before practice got started,” Sellers told PSN. “We talked about my season and he was asking me some questions about my technique and some coverages that we run.”

“Then we talked about Pitt. They’ve won these last few games but they’ve been super close. Coach just said that they need to play all four quarters and close out games better. I’ve seen some really good things from the team this year. I think my Pitt commitment is still solid. I don’t see myself anywhere else right now.”
