SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Pitt survived another close one.

For the second straight game, the Panthers took a big lead into the half, only to need to sweat out the final moments.

This time, they were able to get it done with a strong performance from the running game in the final moments as the Panthers ran out the clock on the Orange comeback bid and took a 27-20 victory back to Pittsburgh with them.

Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi, quarterback Kenny Pickett, safety Damar Hamlin, defensive tackle Jaylen Twyman, wide receiver Maurice Ffrench and running back A.J. Davis spoke after the game about the early lead, Syracuse’s comeback and Pickett’s halftime speech in the locker room.
