Those words came from Pitt center Jimmy Morrissey after the Panthers had two opportunities late to salt away victory against Miami at Heinz Field on Saturday.
But the Panthers were stuffed on three runs from the 7-yard line and had to settle for a field goal, and went three-and-out on the following drive after a defensive stop, giving Miami one last chance to beat Pitt’s defense, and the Hurricanes cashed in for a 16-12 upset victory.
The penalties, turnovers, the many dropped passes, the inability of the line to win the battle from the 1 yard line and last, but not least the refusal of the refs to call even 1 holding penalty on Miami’s O line. For a line that was dominated all game I am amazed they never held. Or did they hold every play to the point where old Smokey with that deep Southern drawl just ignore like they typically do? Yes I would say that is embarrassing and very discouraging to the loyal fan base that shows up every week.

What about the Ford interception that wasn’t. Appeared to have a foot down. Truly questionable officiating today
