The Steelers have signed wide receiver Amara Darboh and wide receiver/kick returner Quadree Henderson to their practice squad and released wide receiver Terry Wright and linebacker Sutton Smith.

Henderson, 23, originally signed with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Pitt in 2018, but was released on the eve of the regular season when they acquired Ryan Switzer.

He spent most of 2018 with the New York Giants, playing in five games and making nine punt returns and five kick returns. He averaged 7.6 yards per punt return and 22.4 yards per kick return.

Henderson was waived by the Giants in April and has since spent time with the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars and Carolina Panthers. He was also drafted into the XFL by the New York Guardians.

An All-American returner at Pitt, Henderson left the Panthers after his junior season, amassing 98 carries for 887 yards, 45 catches for 473 yards and 13 total touchdowns.
